Bob Poznanovich

Bob Poznanovich is a nationally recognized leader, advisor, and advocate in the field of addiction treatment and behavioral health. With decades of executive experience — and as someone who has personally walked the path of recovery — Bob brings a unique combination of professional expertise, entrepreneurial vision, and authentic credibility.

As Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation’s former Chief Growth Officer, Bob spearheaded transformative partnerships with health systems, payers, employers, and community organizations to expand access, integrate care, and advance innovative models of recovery support. Today, as Senior Fellow and Recovery Ambassador, he continues to serve as a trusted voice on the future of treatment, recovery engagement, and the role of technology and innovation in behavioral health.

Previously, Bob was co-founder and CEO of AirCare (now Humankind), a behavioral healthcare company dedicated to improving outcomes for people living with chronic conditions through digital engagement and real-time support. His entrepreneurial background gives him a distinctive perspective on how innovation, consumer-centered design, and scalable solutions can transform behavioral health and improve lives.

Bob is the co-author of It’s Not Okay to Be a Cannibal: How to Stop Addiction from Eating Your Family Alive, published by Hazelden Publishing. In addition to his leadership work, he is a sought-after behavioral health advisor, consultant, and speaker whose story resonates with audiences across the country. From national conferences to local community events, Bob blends data-driven insights with lived experience, making complex issues both understandable and inspiring — and remains a leading voice on the future of treatment, recovery, and long-term engagement.
